TIRSDAG DEN 28. JULI 2020 KL. 11.00-14.00
This year, due to covid-19, our human rights activities so far have been limited to online campaigns and individual actions.
But since restrictions in Denmark are lifting and cases are getting lower, we thought this would be the perfect time to have a pure social event, where we will be sightseeing along Limfjorden – so we can both socialize with our friends and like-minded people, after a long time of being hidden away in our homes, and still be outside to ensure everyone can maintain their social distance.
We will meet up at 11:00 at Fjordhaverne in Aalborg, which is by Lindholm Strandpark in Nørresundby, near Kulturbroen. In a leisurely way we will cross Limfjorden by Kulturbroen, find our way to Aalborg Street Food, eat at the outdoor tables, continue through Fjordbyen and end up at Vestre Fjordpark.
Maybe we will find some unexpected places or make a halt at some known attractions along the way – a small thrift store that is sometimes open, a miniature model city of Aalborg, climbing the 14 meter tall Inés tower etc.
At Vestre Fjordpark there are plenty of ways for everyone to enjoy nature, take a swim, relax, eat some ice cream, join a beach volley game etc. And Kunsten Museum of Modern Art is present here today until 15:00 with family and children-friendly activities such as artistic rod tennis or learn how to build an imaginative dragon like the CoBrA painters.
